📍I’ve been fully remote since 2016 and have 10+ years of professional experience in the design field. This includes 5 years total at agencies as well as 5 years managing my own design shop while living abroad in several countries. My background is in visual design and most recently UX/UI. I also love to create projects from scratch and legitimize them through good design.
From accessibility to ability to understand the information at hand to simply the ease of getting to the next step—using psychology of human behavior to help.
From art published in Nargis Magazine shown below to custom iconography and patterns, I have a variety of tools to aid in visual communication and direction. I’ve also had over 10 solo art shows mostly around Minneapolis, and won a public art call for art. (The ‘Fox 'Box’ electrical box design!)
I’ve created and managed several projects over the years and love to create new things from scratch then add value to them through good design.
I’ve lived in Rome, Italy and most recently along the Caspian coast in Azerbaijan for a couple years each. Before this I was privileged enough to take a solo round-the-world trip when I was 27. These first-hand experiences as a humbled foreigner in the space of a new language several times greatly influenced my passion for UX/UI in terms of universal design cues and accessibility. I’ve also been lucky to collaborate professionally on projects in locations around the globe which has allowed me to consider design in a global context—considering other values, impressions and perspectives.
Living in West Asia/the Caucasus gave me a passion for more visibility and plurality in design.
